Small Sacrifices by Ann Rule - A True Crime Book Review

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Diane Downs brought her car to a stop in front of a Springfield, Oregon, hospital, with her three gravely wounded children beside her. This book is about the shocking tale of a truly unthinkable crime that being of a mother who tried to murder her own children and succeeded in killing one child and leaving two of the children paralyzed.

Ann Rule is brilliant and her books are brilliant. I do not even bother to read what a book is about when I see it is a new release by Ann Rule. I just buy it and I know I will love it.And so far I have not been proven wrong.

This book,Small Sacrifices, will break your heart. I could not stop crying. This book has a special place in my heart. I think this is the only way that I can feel that I am doing my small part in keeping these precious children safe seeing as their own mother was a miserable attention seeker totally oblivious of her children's love, instead seeking the love of any man, especially men who did not want her. To get to her age and still not realise the fulfilment of a child's love is pathetic at best.

The first chapter begins with the mother driving to the hospital and reporting her children have been shot. It evolves effortlessly from this to the background of the mother, her early life and her life experiences until the day she appears in hospital with her children shot. Then there is the court case which has drama of its own as this mother continues to live a drama filled life even through this period to the point of being pregnant again when she gets sent to jail. (And then a lesbian affair)You will find it very difficult to put this book down and will try and complete it in one session which is virtually impossible as it is a very thick book. Every page is filled with information and there is very little filler "description of the day" passages. Spell binding, gripping and edge of your seat kind of book.

I had and still have no sympathy for this woman despite her being abused as a child and so forth. This act is unforgivable and nothing will change my opinion. I do not believe in putting any man before my children. There is a part in the book where she says to whatever man? (In surprise) that she thinks she might love her children more than him. That should have raised some red flags.

Basically if you are a mother or parent this book will leave you flabbergasted and emotionally spent.Do not read this book unless you are in the correct state of mind to deal with the many emotions which will run through as you read this book.

It is a good idea to access the opinions of other readers of true crime stories before finally purchasing a book online.

The Terrorist Legacy Written by Mr Pat

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

This is a very large book that tells a story of the world today with all the battles of terrorism, religion, brutality, rape, control of humans, and food scarcity. I was afraid the book would lose the reader just by the immense scope of the story that spreads over many nations, seas and oceans, many people and organizations, and how precious life really is and how that life can be threatened by terrorists who obtain a nuclear device. It also tells of the attempt to save children in parts of Africa where life is not valuable to most, not even a child's life.

In many of the African nations kidnapping and slavery of children is rampant. An organization attempts to get some of these children and save them by setting up camps to school them, however the Muslim's in charge were reluctant to allow such camps as they wanted control of everyone in the entire area so they could kill anyone they felt like eliminating. After all, there were so many that the ones they killed would never be missed! The ones that are strong enough were kept as workers in the military camps or used for the men in that military. No one was too young to be used or raped. Several camps were formed and did well but it was too expensive and difficult to keep and protect these children with the cost of "obtaining" them through those in command. The next hope was to bring some of these children to Israel by establishing a camp there. This was against all Muslim ways to allow the Jewish people to have any of the African children there so they fought it all they could.

The story above is only a tip of the books contents. From Africa we jump to two super boats that were each built to travel speeds upward of 70 knots per hour, carry nuclear weapons as well as regular weaponry of all types, hulls made of super strong materials to keep them safe, and each one run by opposite thinking people; Muslim extremists against free world groups. The "New Day" vs. the "Diversion", both capable of mass destruction. The mission of the New Day was to wipe out the American super carrier "Lincoln" and its accompanying ships. The Diversion was meant to keep a rich family safe while on their honeymoon but the missions all changed with terrorists involved.

There is no way I can write a short review on The Terrorist Legacy. I can only point you in the direction of all of the above and tell you the story is great. There area a few places of repetition but not many. I think the author used some this repetition to connect the reader's mind as they read the book. It has much excitement and gives you history as it goes on. Unless you have no interest in the world around you and how nasty it can be, this is a must read.

"Gangsters, murderers & Weirdos of the Lower East Side," by Eric Ferrara-Book Review

"Gangsters, murderers & Weirdos of the Lower East Side," by Eric Ferrara is a grand tour of the Lower East Side of Manhattan, begins with the chapter, "worth Street to Canal Street" and ending with "East Houston Street at 14."

Ferrrera takes you on a tour of block-by-block of the Lower East Side, with the exact address of where some things really horrible happened to some despicable people mostly. He starts in the time period in which the street gang in New York City, a bunch of cracked head cleverly named Dead Rabbits Irish controlled the streets slummed reserves the right to five points Area before the civil war. The five points area was populated with people so poor and dirty, that the city had to come in frequently to disinfect the streets and buildings with chemicals.

We also meet such individuals as gruff Chinese Tong Leader Mock duck, who terrorized the Chinatown at the turn of the century. You have specified there is the brother of three unforgettable Morrelo, Joe, Nick, and Antonio, who along with relatives of Ciro Terranova and Ignazio Saietta (Lupo the Wolf), started the black hand Society, who extorted money from fellow Sicilians, under threat of death, a punishment which frequently imposed.

If the corrupt politicians are your Favorites Walsh fats and thugs, Big Tim Sullivan, along with the indomitable Boss Tweed are present here too, with the exact locations where they committed their evil doings, all in the name of the law.

Gang leaders Charles "Lucky" superstar October and his pal Meyer Lansky "The Little Man" are all the children of the Lower East Side, along with muscle Lansky, Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel. Lansky on first met as students, when on October Racquet when he was extorting pennies from skinny pioneers whereby school children in a school of the Lower East Side, in exchange for him not beating them in a frontman. One day, the October took on Lansky, Lansky and fought tooth and nail, starting a friendship lasting, also penetrated into violence.

The bottom line is that "gangsters, murderers & Weirdos of the Lower East Side" is a quick read with the who, what, when, where and how of murders and crime in Lower East Side, right before the civil war, until the end of the 20th century. This book is not for the faint of heart, but if you want a peek at the underbelly of Manhattan's Lower East Side, cannot do better than read this interesting, but sometimes alarming book.

About Ann Rule - A Writer of True Crime Books

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Ann Rule was born on 22 October 1935 in Lowell, Michigan. She was born Ann Stackhouse. The introduction of Ann Rule to writing true crime stories reads like a very interesting story in itself.

She developed a love for true crime stories by reading True Detective and after this decided to start writing. In 1969 one editor decided to try her out on one story when a vacancy in the northwest became available. Her first story was accepted but she was told to take a male pseudonym because it was believed that readers would not believe that a woman would know anything about police investigations despite having had a short stint herself as a police officer within the Seattle Police Department. She then started writing for True Detective as Andy Stack and the name was chosen from her maiden name which is Stackhouse, people used to call her father, Stack and the Andy is from the name of her son which is Andy Stack Rule.

After proving herself by writing articles for a few magazines including Master Detective, Inside Detective, Front Page Detective and Office Detective she was invited to start writing under her own name which she refused as she was worried about her safety and the safety of her family as by then she was a single mother raising four children. During that time she also decided to add to her BA degree from University of Washington by getting a two year degree in police science. At this time she was only writing articles and then she found the subject which would facilitate her transition from article writing to books.

It was 1974 when several attractive young women had started to go missing in the Pacific Northwest. She decided to start researching this story and at that time the case was still unsolved. As time went by it became clear that the killer was Ted Bundy, a friend of Ann Rule and previous colleague on a suicide hotline at the King County Crisis Clinic. Hence came the book,The Stranger Beside Me, which is about Ted Bundy, the serial killer. This book started off her career as a true crime book writer.

One of her later books which she has described as the one book which has paid all the bills was named Small Sacrifices which is about the mother Diane Downs who tried to kill her three children because the man she was pursuing did not want children. She only succeeded in killing her one child Cheryl but left one paralyzed from the waist down and the other paralyzed on one side of her body.

Ann Rule was also part of the task force that created Vi-Cap which is a computer tracking system designed to identify serial killers. She has since then written many true crime books and also now teaches seminars to law enforcement groups. She prefers writing about cases which are not very prominently reported on in the media which she refers to as sleeper cases.

Circle of Assassins

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

A very unique, thought-provoking book and certainly not your every day mystery but one I will be thinking about for sometime.

An ad is placed in the paper entitled Revenge Is Sweet! The contact is A at a PO Box. After sorting through all the responses A comes up with five strangers that are willing to eliminate an unwanted person for another stranger. In return the assassin expects his unwanted person to be eliminated.

The members of the Circle are identified by the letters A, B, C, D, and E. Each person receives a color code as well as detailed instructions on various ways of committing murder, how to be sure you have covered your tracks, and how to make sure no one will discover your identity.

Each chapter is identified by a letter or in some instances a name. You will be reading the instructions given by A as well as details regarding each individual in their own words setting forth their reason for wanting to rid the world of one person.

There are also some before and after chapters which explain the murders feelings before they actually commit the crime and after the crime has been committed.

Victims actually speak to you, prior to their demise of course, regarding their feelings about their life and their friends and loved ones if they have any.

I took a different approach to this book than I normally do when I read a book. I took notes. I had a little note pad listing all the letters and the colors and the names as I found them out in reading the book. I noted who the victims would be under the appropriate letter and color. This was not very time consuming and took up one small page but I thought it really gave me a handle on what was going on and who was doing what and that there would be no surprises for me.

Wrong again! As I got to the end of the book I had one surprise after the other. Things that I didn't see coming even though I thought I had everything lined out.

I totally enjoyed this book and loved reading about the different killers as well as their victims. The killer's reaction after their event took place was a real eye opener.

The conclusion was stunning as far as I'm concerned. This is Tales From the Back Page No. 2. I no more than finished the last page until I ordered Who Gets The Apartment which is Tales From the Back Page No. 1. I understand that Steven Rigolosi will have a third book out in 2008 and I can't wait to order it.

Is Hamlet in Reality a True Crime Story About the Murder of Tycho Brahe?

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

"Hamlet" by William Shakespeare (1564-1616) is considered one of the greatest plays of all times. We all know the story of the Danish prince whose mother has married the undisclosed murderer of his father, i.e. his uncle who now also has become the new king. However, when most of us see this as the well-established plot of the play, professor Peter Andersen (Universite de Strassbourg) sees it as a sort of allegory over the murder of the famous Danish astronomist, Tycho Brahe (1546-1601). This controversial theory was published in his new book, "Kunstvaerket" (: "The Artwork").

His key to this interpretation is a story from 1603: "Den Hvenske Kr?nike". It is about the enmity of the brother of King James I's wife, Anna, i.e. the Danish king Christian IV (1588-1648) and the astronomist, the murder by proxy by his relative, Erik Brahe, who admitted his crime in a letter, etc., etc.. The reason for the murder is according to Peter Andersen first and foremost the numerous slights by Tycho Brahe against the king's close friend and advisor, Jon Jakobsen (Also goes by the name of Venusin).

One of the reasons for the king's personal hatred of Tycho Brahe may have been the rumours that he had had an affair with his mother and that he had murdered his father, the former king. That made the astronomist out to be the king's natural father and thus robbed him of his legitimacy. According to Peter Andersen, the "Elsinore" of "Hamlet" is not the town of Helsingoer, but the small island of Hven which for many years was the home of Tycho Brahe.

To me this is a rather circumstantial evidence in a crime investigation, but Peter Andersen has assembled a large mass of evidence and is very well read. I think this is a book which shall fall totally or stand tall with time. Many will reject it on sight, so to speak, but only time will tell how it shall fare.

Dying For Daddy by Carlton Smith - A True Crime Book Review

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

On a beautiful street in Sacramento County, California, three healthy saplings stand side by side. The man who planted these trees did so in honor of three innocent people who were murdered, a mother and her two children. This man was the husband and father of the three victims. He was also the one who murdered them.

Can anyone believe that only after the fourth death, when the murderer's mother died, that suspicions really got out of control? You better believe it because that is exactly what happened. Bearing in mind that there was bruising found with the wife's autopsy then when the children also died surely the case should have been looked into. What is tragic about this story is that the children's deaths could have been avoided if proper concerns had been raised at the wife Irene's autopsy. There was bruising after all.

Carlton Smith wrote this book specifically to involve the reader in assessing all the proof and facts available. You, as the reader, are involved from the start to finish. I felt part of this investigation and it worked for me. What I could not understand and still cannot understand is how the actual people involved did not get as angry as I did, and I was merely an observer, reading this book.

People as a rule believe that only professions like being a doctor or nurse involves dealing with the lives of people but this book made me realize how every single profession, if not done well, can have an impact on the lives of people and I feel that many people do not weigh up the consequences of their actions in relation to the impact that their actions might have on others. A person doing an autopsy however should really realize the impact of his findings when performing an autopsy. We think, well the person is dead already right? But what about the other people who might die after at the hands of the person who has gotten away with murder? Carlton Smith is as usual excellent. His ability to draw the reader into his books and live the tale is brilliant. This is a common thread in Carlton Smith books.

I suggest accessing the web for other readers reviews before making an online book purchase of true crime stories.

Book review Charles Bowden "down the river" profiling, money, murder and family

Nobody cares how the reality of the war on drugs. This fact gets very uncomfortable to see very quickly. In the range of reactions from Mexico and fatalistic acceptance acquiescence to despair for "How do I make a buck off this thing?" Where are my pesos? I only had better shut up and not think too hard about it, it's much safer specified in this way. Explanations here in the United States begin to the left. "Compassionate care III Citizens control the Government. We can't just let them run wild. "delusions of the right wing that has always been the Suppression of whatever sort blog to blog any time, any reason FIR blog.

After 40 years of abject failure for the war on drugs, providing explanations and excuses grow increasingly prosaic, tired and ridiculous, and I could go on. On the right and the authoritarian authorities insist that any war fought by a US Government can never be lost or abandoned. You have to keep profile hands, nose and lungs, brain. Of course, ignoring the fact that all illegal profiling are widely available. And prices go down. And ignoring the wars in the world that we are about to lose. Or already essentially lost already. Left if something isn ' t work we can solve the problem with any government program. Sometimes it takes a little tinkering and more billions and a new agency would be to get it right! So it goes.

Charles Bowden weaves a tale of three strands through his book "Down By The River.

One is a very personal story of a family in El Paso who lost their son to "good," the golden boy ". Bruno. The one in a large family that everyone loves. He was shot in El Paso, an innocent victim of transnational crime, a car-jacking ... very rare at that time in the 1990 's hundreds of cars were stolen and driven in Juarez. But car-jacking wasn't necessary. Alarm systems were primitive or nonexistent. A late model car or truck might be hot wired in less than a minute. Or more probably something more sinister and premeditated occurred. The Government of Mexico is famous because, among other things, is almost total indifference to the plight of its citizens in legal trouble in foreign countries. The Carjacker and accused killer was a Mexican teenager penniless. Blog for whatever reason, this time Mexico jumps to the defence. Money pours. While Bruno 1950 was not related to crime or narcotics there was a connection. His brother Phil. (A) a senior officer in the GODDESS. Has been involved in hundreds of cases. At the end of agony and the quest for justice comes to nothing ... This is the experience of the people of Mexico Juarez and whole. A country where justice is a joke, and there is no hope of ever finding it. But revenge is another thing. Sometimes that can be found. Until the revenged come to take it back.

The other thread is the story of Mexicans: the narcos, the cops, the cops of narco. The cartel boss, subordinates, folks, policemen under covered, their world.

There are few heroes. Bowden itself might be one. He could dispute that. Perhaps some of the journalists and people who survive with some of their humanity are as close to the Heroes happen here find. As Bowden says at the end the drug war destroys everything. There are no winners.

The thread number three is the documentary. As gusts from an AR-15 He documented incident after incident cases that only has gone so high. The complicity of every Mexican President in drug sector of Mexico and United States. Case after case that was canceled by American Attorney General and the Justice Department higher-ups when it became too politically sensitive. You have specified are incorporated "new agencies and incorruptible and leader in Mexico to gain American support and money. All dog and pony show was always in the second. More and more laws and more prisons and more money.

All built on a culture of wilted and betrayals and lies. Leading to death, imprisonment, torture, ruined many lives and now eight years later, perhaps irreversible descent of Mexico in a police state Narco failed forever at war with itself. And the beat goes on and on.

There is of course the tale now familiar corset GODDESS of a drug courier, the call from the CIA and the issue of the courier and his product, because it is a "national security situation." DEA agents try not to reach conclusions, but obvious blog no matter what you say about them, they aren't dumb.

Down by the River

Bowden writes:
I'm drinking in my yard with a former DEA agent, has spent years in Mexico, surviving gun battles, have specified years of monitoring the huge flows of money spent more, night has fallen and sits in the shade sipping a beer, Sinaoloa. He likes to speak in these moments, but never want to these conversations go on record because I repeatedly explained, because "they" can't be beaten. And this he refers to "their" is the CIA.

Bowden has said himself he hand-held back on his opinion of respect for the family of 1950. The book is a revelation. Of course it has a little outdated because how horrible the situation as he paints only a decade ago, is many times worse today.

This kind of books can be evaluated in a train wreck ...It becomes impossible to look away despite and because of the carnage going on and so forth.

I give it 6 locomotives and a thousand cars careening off-track falling from the mountain to the village people not so innocent of two countries.

Truman Capote and the narration of true crime

Truman Capote wants to write an epic fiction that is now more popular and tries to achieve a synthesis between myth and event and "in cold blood" that Truman Capote replaces pure fantasy with fact. The story is that of a mass murder by two psychopaths in a small town in Kansas and his narrative helps usher in essentially the style for essays. His mixing style and prose fiction hybrid is much imitated by other journalists and authors and is the precursor of the New Journalism movement.

The book is about the murder of a wealthy businessman, his wife and two sons in Holcomb, Kansas. When he hears the quadruple murder of the clutter family, travels to Kansas with his childhood friend and fellow author Harper Lee.

Together they interviewed local residents and investigators and the killers, Richard "Dick" Hickock and Perry Smith, were arrested not long after the murders, Capote ultimately spent six years working on the book. Hood does a lot of research for this job, and once criminals are found, prosecuted and convicted, Capote held personal interviews with Smith and Hickock. Smith fascinates the author above all and in his book he describes him as someone who is more sensitive and conscious guilt of the two killers. Capote never takes notes while interviewing but writes from memory. He also compares "DCA" of American jurisprudence to a gambling. In his book participants range from State courts through the federal courts interminably to finally reach the u.s. Supreme Court. Capote criticises the ways and means by which narrative is a product that is later seen in the executioner's song by Norman Mailer ".

So "in cold blood" gets released in 1966 as a "non-fiction" as Capote essentially puts in his words. Brings fame and literary success and becomes an international bestseller. Although it is regarded as a controversial and a falsehood by some writers real crime, and paves the way for future journalists and writers of stories of real life and establishes the roof as the pioneer of nonfiction novels nowadays.

Gangs of New York-Herbert Asbury

Gangs of New York by Herbert Asbury, published in 1928, is a great read for those who like to read stories of crime and criminals that have taken place in New York City, dating from the early 1800 's. The book begins with a chapter called "The Cradle of the bands," which was the five points area in 1829. Roughly speaking, the five points area of territory was bounded by Broadway, Bowery and Canal Street, Park Row, which was formerly Chatham Street. Now, this area is home to the prison city of graves, criminal courts building and the County Court House. In the early 1700 's, the area was primarily a swap area, surrounding a Lake the fresh water pond called by the British and Shellpoint Trading.

The Lake was finally filled and houses built on the landfill. This dump in the region became known as five points. The area takes its name from the five points intersection between five blocks.dotx della Croce, who became Park Street and is now Mott, Player, which became worth, Orange, who became Baxter, Mulberry Street and little water, which now does not even exist. It was originally a respectable area where the wealthy lived, but have specified homes began to sink in the swamp imperfectly drained, and the rich abandoned the area for better parts of the island of Manhattan. Their places were taken by slaves freed Negro the Irish low-class, which began flooding into the area from Ireland, from around 1790.

The five points area became a breeding ground for fraudsters and criminal and people from other parts of the city did not dare venture into its borders. The great Charles Dickens once visited the area and wrote about five points, "this is the place: these divergent ways, narrow left and right and smelly everywhere with dirt and grime. Debauchery has made the case very old prematurely. Coarse faces and swelling at the gates have counterparts in the country and the world over. Many pigs live here. Have you ever wondered why their way upright instead of going on all fours, and because he speaks instead of grunt? "

It was in these streets rotted that Dickens described, that the first street gang was formed in 1825. It has been rightly called thieves and began playing in the back room of a focus on producing sale shop Center Street. It was owned by Rosanna peers and vegetables rot off, sold illegal hootch, inside the back room and allowed a vile guy called Edward Coleman to govern a heterogeneous group of criminals. Being Irish, everyone hated the British, but they robbed and plundered by mainly their own.

Soon other bands with names like the cropped replaced, plug Uglies, Roach guards, shirt tails and Chichesters. Fought between each other as well as embedded have the right to control the crime for certain roads. Most arrived gangs quickly the limits of Five Points, as the boys Bowery, True Blue Americans, the American guards, the O'Connell guards foot guards and the Atlantic. The roads in and around the area of five points, became so dangerous found on Davey Crockett, known for his heroism West, said the five points area of New York City was the most dangerous place had ever visited in his entire life.

Over the years, the bands came and went within five points. The civil war was the biggest destructor of the original Five Points gangs, because many of the thugs were drafted into the war to the South. Some went back mutilated. Some came back is not.

The rest of Asbury book details each band and crook who prowled New York City, until 1928. Meet such whores as Monk Eastman cracking and his gang, Owney Madden and his Irish Hudson Dusters and Paul Kelly (Paolo Vaccarelli) and his five pointers.

If you want to get down and dirty, read on the lives of men so despicable, they were hanged in the courtyard of the city's weekly prison so-called tombs, The Gangs of New York is the book for you.

Die My Love By Kathryn Casey (True Crime Book Review)

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Fans of psychology and true crime will thoroughly enjoy this book. Die My Love tells the story of how one woman's obsession would lead to murder and the destruction of an entire family.

There's no time to catch your breath in this latest true-crime page turner from Kathryn Casey. With her unique voice style, the author paints a vivid portrait of Piper Rountree...petite, beautiful, attorney and murderer? Although those closest to the family were painfully aware of Piper's irrational, eradicate behavior, only her sister Tina truly understood the darkness that had enveloped her every thought.

Using her sister's identification for plane tickets and hotel reservations, Piper flew from Texas to Virginia, where she gunned down her estranged husband in the driveway of his home, as their three children slept in their beds mere yards away. Despite the sister's best efforts to concoct an air tight alibi and dispose of evidence, it was just a matter of time before justice came calling.

Extensive research takes the reader behind the well manicured facade that had been painstakingly constructed to protect the all important image Piper cultivated. With lyrical prose, Casey skillfully traces the Jablin-Rountree story - from their early days to Piper's strange, irrational behavior, to the series of events that would lead to the destruction of an already flawed marriage. Weaving a complex narrative of a family who, lived in a beautiful home, surrounded by friends and family but lingered in the shadow of dysfunction, Casey reassembles their shattered lives in the years and months before Fred's death, intimately describing what led this petite, educated, Texas lawyer to murder her ex-husband and the father of her children.

Filled with the most complete case facts available, Die My Love offers an unparalleled look at one of the most captivating murder cases in recent years, told by one of the most prolific crime writers of our time! I recommend this book to all who enjoy true crime novels, as well as, thriller and mystery lovers! I anxiously await Kathryn Casey's next novel!

Happy Reading!

Giving greed, unraveling a Ponzi scheme

"Miles away ...Worlds Apart "isn't a book that slips easily into any one genre. Instead, Pooh Sakowitz wrote a book that, in one part, is comprised of inspirational essays in the mood for chicken soup for the Soul series; in another part of an informant; and in the last part, a moral tale. In fact, it is a true crime thriller detailing unraveling one of the largest Ponzi schemes in the history of Florida.

In his book, Pooh Sakowitz details his encounters with Scott Rothstein. Rothstein was a respected lawyer in South Florida during the four years that he presumably his Ponzi scheme. All appearances, he was a philanthropist well-connected who delivered what you promised.

But even at their first meeting, Sakowitz spotted the "tale of a slithering snake. Sakowitz reveals his thoughts during every stage of the process. He tells his readers what red flags that were mentioned by fraud and does an excellent job illustrating the illusory nature of Rothstein's investment opportunities.

Sakowitz includes anecdotes about his Rabbi, neighbors and family. They show lessons learned during his lifetime Sakowitz about the importance of doing what is right. Recalling the book "Chicken Soup for Soul", these stories about her neighborhood illustrate the force of truth and the beauty of giving. Issue of people, all people ... no matter who they are, or what they did.

The moral compass instilled in him by his parents and strengthened by his community gave Sakowitz pulse that had need of whistle, even at the risk of them to himself and his family. Its main and integrity played a States that to protect colleagues and other innocent victims from financial ruin.

This book is the author's story of his meeting with Rothstein, and he highlights the whole train of thought.

Seriously is an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction alike. She liked the book Miles Away ... Worlds apart: empowering Lessons gleaned from the experiences of an informant.

Stalker-stalking if between justice and crime-A True Story Book Review

The celebrity stalkers out there are alive and well, but they are so dangerous as heck. How can you catch them before they do something really subtle? Well, suggest prosecutors, turns the table ambushes and switch roles, harassing the harassers. Become very similar to the Hunter and hunt their prey, predator, or in the case of the American army, terrorizing the terrorists. See that point.

It is a fascinating topic and considering that I've never been one to recommend a book on this topic of true crime detective work or prosecutors stalking Stalker, I can see that you are interested in and so, there is a book I recently read that sheds light on this topic, and boy will make you think. The cases outlined in the book are all true. The name of this volume is fantastic:

"Whisper of Fear-The true story of the Prosecutor who stalks the Stalkers" by Rhonda b. Saunders and Stephen. Michaud (both authors NYT best-seller), Berkley Books, New York, NY, (2008), pp. 338, ISBN: 978-0-425-22371-0.

The book goes through the true stories of Hollywood Elite Stalker, Madonna, Steven Spielberg and Gwyneth Paltrow. There are also some chilling stories of spousal abuse and former sexual partners who killed their victims and have specified them buried under the houses. Sometimes riveting, chilling and it really makes you think about all the whackos worldwide.

Will be introduced to the psychology of psychopathic killers, Stalkers and sexually deviant. Also chronic criminals who turned to Stalker, these are the fans and Hate mongers of glamour and glitter, is indeed an amazing book. The clues are there, and it's amazing the great investigative work and interesting how difficult it is to catch these people, especially pre-crime, how people have the rights, privacy, and until they make a real move there is nothing you can do.

Get inside their heads, thinking like a stalker seems to be the only way to win and if the detective fails, lives are at stake and the results are frightening to consider too. Learn about investigative techniques, legal "arms and intuition as they stalk the stalker. Pursue the stalker isn't easy either, but Rhonda Saunders helped write many of the stalking laws, and she explains what it takes actually catch them and make those arrests stick. You will love this book true crime.

Book Review: The Truth about the JFK Assassination Conspiracy is Finally Revealed

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

Author R.E. "Gus" Payne dives into the depths of truth about the JFK assassination conspiracy in his book "Falsely Accused." From the author of "The Death of Brandon Lee: The Untold Story" and "Caught in the Crossfire" comes a book that answers many pertinent questions about JFK's murder that have plagued Americans for years.

Why did the New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison and the U.S. Justice Department refuse to investigate the known Mafia leader Carlos Marcello in connection with the assassination of President John F. Kennedy? Why did Garrison, along with other U.S. Justice Department officials, deny the existence of the Mafia's part in the assassination when it was clearly a matter to be investigated? These questions and more are finally answered in Payne's eye-opening book.

Names such as Lee Harvey Oswald, Clay Shaw and David Ferrie always arouse curiosity in the minds of those who want to know what really happened on that dreaded day in history. These three men were said to have been seen together on the day of JFK's assassination, but were they really? Witnesses changed their stories. Why?

The author goes a step further and looks closely at the New Orleans FBI and those that were in charge of investigating the JFK assassination as well as the possible involvement of Carlos Marcello. He also explains in vivid detail key facts in the investigation such as the missing "BRILAB" tape recordings, the "FOGG" arrest report, and more.

EXCERPTS FROM THE BOOK "FALSELY ACCUSED"

From Chapter 1:

In Marcello's case the intent of the Kennedy administration was made known even before Inauguration Day, January 20, 1961. On December 28, 1960, the New Orleans States-Item reported that Attorney General-designate Kennedy was planning specific actions against Marcello. An FBI report from that period noted:

"On January 12, 1961, a [source] advised that Carlos Marcello is extremely apprehensive and upset and has been since the New Orleans States-Item newspaper on December 28, 1960 published a news story reporting that... Robert F. Kennedy stated he would expedite the deportation proceedings pending against Marcello after Kennedy takes office in January 1961."

While the House Select Committee on Assassinations carefully examined numerous areas of information pertaining to the proficiency of the FBI in investigating organized crime during the 1950's and early 1960's, and found various areas in which Bureau performance was significantly deficient, questionable and even suspiciously so, the city of New Orleans was a special case. The FBI's outright denial of the existence of organized crime in New Orleans was unique to that city.

The facts reveal that the Bureau's conclusions on Marcello in New Orleans were attributable to a disturbing attitude on the part of the senior agent who supervised the organized crime investigations in that city, Regis Kennedy. He had been in charge of the Bureau's work on Marcello and the New Orleans Mafia for years; unfortunately, he had also directed much of the FBI investigation in that city of President Kennedy's assassination.
